Daycare

A peaceful, home-from-home experience

Welcome to Lead with Care

Welcome to Lead with Care – our new business. Our dog daycare is a small, family-run service led by myself, Beverley, a registered qualified veterinary nurse with many years’ experience in clinical small animal practice, and daughter Eve, who is studying towards a C&G dog grooming certificate at Sparsholt Agricultural College. Built around one simple belief: dogs thrive best in calm, caring, and well-understood environments.

With a strong background in animal health and behaviour, we offer knowledgeable, attentive care that goes beyond basic supervision. Every dog in our care is treated as an individual, with routines and enrichment tailored to their specific needs, age, energy level, and personality.

Dog at Lead with Care

Quality over Quantity

We intentionally keep our groups very small — a maximum of three dogs — to ensure a relaxed atmosphere and close supervision at all times. This allows us to focus on quality, not quantity, and to support dogs who may feel overwhelmed in larger, noisier settings.

Our dedicated dog room is a cosy space to relax in during the winter with a woodburning stove to doze by, and a cool place to retreat to in the summer with plenty of blankets and beds. Our dogs have easy access to the garden at all times with free and structured play activities.

Location & Exploration

One of the things that makes our daycare truly special is our location. From our large, secure back garden, dogs have direct access to beautiful woodland walks and paths, providing natural stimulation, exploration, and gentle exercise in a safe and familiar environment.

We love to explore the surrounding areas of Wiltshire, Dorset and Hampshire including Salisbury, Winchester and surrounding areas, and (with permission) would love your dog to come along too!

Effective as of January 2026

Thank you for trusting Lead with Care with your dog. Our Terms and Conditions are set out with health and safety in mind for staff and dogs alike. By signing, you are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions, which are subject to change at any time.

Vaccination and Health

All dogs in our care must hold up to date vaccination records (DHPPiL & KC). We will require a copy for our records. Additional information on Brucella testing for imported dogs may be required.

Dogs must be microchipped with up to date details of ownership. All dogs in our care will be fitted with a tag showing Lead with Care contact details.

All dogs must be up to date with flea and worm protection; any evidence of parasites may result in refusal of daycare and/or boarding.

All dogs must be in good health before admission to daycare or boarding services. If your dog is showing signs of illness whilst at Lead with Care, you will be contacted immediately and isolation away from other dogs will be provided until collection.

Bitches in season will not be accepted. If your female has come into season, we kindly ask you to discuss this with us prior to your booking.

Safety and Behaviour

We reserve the right to refuse or dismiss from daycare any dog that presents a risk of injury to itself or us. This includes, but is not limited to, behaviour, health, level of training, weight or size. Dogs in our care are closely monitored, and we will discuss any changes in your dog’s behaviour or health with you. If at any point in time Lead with Care deems your dog(s) no longer suitable for our daycare or boarding service, we fully reserve the right to cancel any future bookings and ask you to collect your dog as soon as practically possible.

All dogs must be well socialised, friendly with other dogs and humans, house trained and with no aggressive tendencies. We reserve the right to refuse any dog breeds listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act, or those that appear to be cross bred with any such breed.

At Lead with Care, we keep our groups very small – no more than three dogs for daycare and boarding. All dogs are closely monitored and assessed with safety and wellbeing in mind. Your dog will be exercised and allowed to interact/play with and/or engage with other dogs of a suitable size and temperament. We will not allow your dog to engage with other dogs if we perceive there is a risk to welfare, a risk of aggression, over excitement or rough play.

Bookings and Payments

Daycare and boarding bookings are only confirmed once payment has been received. All payments must be made in full a minimum of two weeks before the boarding date and one week prior to daycare. Payment can be made by either BACS, Direct Debit or cash. Cheques cannot be accepted.

Cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance for daycare bookings and a minimum of 2 weeks prior to boarding. You will be liable for full payment without this.

I understand that I am responsible for any harm caused by my dog at Lead with Care whether to dogs, staff or property. I shall indemnify and hold Lead with Care harmless against any claims made against Lead with Care or losses or damages of any kind suffered because of my dog. I understand and agree that in admitting my dog to Lead with Care, that the staff has relied on my representation that my dog is in good health and has not harmed or shown aggressive or threatening behaviour towards any person or any other dog.

I understand and acknowledge that Lead with Care strongly recommends for my dog(s) to be covered by Third Party Liability Pet insurance and general Pet Insurance; such insurance(s) will be required should my dog(s) a) requires life threatening emergency veterinary care with your permission via our approved Vet, b) injures another person, c) injures another dog or, c) damages property while at Lead with Care. I also understand and agree that if my dog(s) are not covered by Third Party Liability Pet insurance and general Pet Insurance, I will be responsible for covering the expenses specified above and any additional expenses arising from damages caused by my dog to other persons, other dogs and property while at Lead with Care.

Lead with Care shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss of life or illness your dog may acquire when attending our daycare and boarding services.

We request you bring with you your dogs’ bed, familiar blankets and any favourite toys to help him/her settle with us. We accept no responsibility for damage to items when your dog is in our care.
